Flying with Chinese is developed based on ACTFL’s published Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century and ACTFL’s Performance Guidelines for K-12 Learner’s. These materials are tailored for learning Chinese as a foreign language from early childhood to sixth grade. The course materials are designed to effectively improve students' language skills in language proficiency, literacy development and cultural appreciation. In all, the series include 17 Student Books, which are graded into 7 levels for students from Kindergarten to sixth grade. Each book consists of several interesting stories and is built on a common theme, incorporating various subject areas from the primary school curriculum to provide a consistent and an immersive language learning environment.
